I read once some words on freedom that spooked me. "Most people dont wont freedom, they want comfort. Comfort in following the rules of system that they think will take care of them and insure them happiness" The longer I live, the more I see, the more dangerous I feel this is. We are sold a picture of happiness and the good life just like we are sold soda pop. Cheap gas man, thats what it takes! If gas goes up, you will loose your job, your house, hell you might starve! All the while we pump out SUVs, and turn our backs on alternate fuel. The goverment says drill, and get in bed with foreign countries, whatever it takes. I see another way in the face of some old hillbillies I know, in the face of sailors, and behind the shields of sportbike riders. Freedom and happiness lies more readily in smaller is better, smaller house, smaller car, loving and enjoying the planet without doing it harm, brotherhood taking care of each other. That cant be bought, has to be embraced.
